ASCM San Diego Chapter is one of the only chapters in the world to offer this workshop. Join us!

How supply chain professionals plan, order, source, transform, fulfill, return, and orchestrate their strategic processes directly impacts a company’s economic performance, the environment, and society. The impact of climate warming caused by excessive generation of man-made Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions requires integrating sustainable best practices in supply chains.  The majority of GHG emissions in a final product are generated in the supply chain! Join the growing roster of businesses who are already committed to an aggressive reduction in GHG emissions by getting educated in how to do so.

This course will help you build foundational knowledge on important frameworks, concepts, standards, best practices, and the prerequisites to successfully operate under the triple bottom line concept: People, Profit, and the Planet.

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to:

  • Understand key sustainability concepts, including the Environmental – Social – Governance (ESG) framework, circular supply chains, and GHG emissions.
  • Understand UN Global Compact guidelines, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards.
  • Be prepared to identify initiatives and projects to address gaps in supply chain sustainability.
