The AI SIG (Artificial Intelligence Special Interest Group) aims to drive AI adoption in the supply chain. We exist to EMPOWER you and challenge you to use A.I. as a tool - NOT to think about it as a replacement.
Led by Director at Large, Vaibhav Deshmukh and Co-Chair Carlos Paternina-Arboleda. Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) San Diego Chapter, is driving AI adoption in the supply chain throughout the region we serve: Greater San Diego - Imperial, San Jose Bay Area, Arizona, Baja California and Sonora Mexico.
Student A.I. Competition - FALL 2025
A challenge where students submit innovative AI-driven solutions for use in supply chain. Submit a proposal to our A.I. Committee for a chance to advance your supply chain solution to a broader audience of supply chain professionals and leaders.
This can be individual or with a group - it is designed to challenge you to make use of A.I. to better the supply chain. Suggested focus areas for project submissions include:
- AI for demand forecasting
- AI for Route optimization and logistics planning
- AI for Supply chain sustainability (carbon reduction, circular economy, etc.)
- AI for Supplier risk management
- Other emerging trends in supply chain
Contest Requirements
- Enter the Student A.I. Contest with your .edu or school provided email address.
- Individual and Group projects will be accepted. Either is OK!
- Sign up for Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) San Diego Chapter Membership - FREE for Students! Join Here
- Bonus: ask your professor if they will honor class or school credit for entering the competition
